NEWS: In Print and On Film
This week we were lucky enough to have Mark and Sanny from Singletrack magazine over for a biking holiday. They wanted to check out the trails in this undiscovered corner of Spain and there was the possibility of a magazine article in mind if they were impressed enough. The Spanish weather let us down on the first couple of days with drizzle the first day and heavy rain on the second but luckily our trails hold up no matter what the weather and we showed them a great time on some of our more technical trails. On the third day we were joined by Mark from Reset Films (www.resetflims.co.uk) and Rowan Sorrell who wanted to shoot some sequences out here for Mark’s sequel to Home called Find. If you haven’t seen HOME I suggest you buy it now, it’s a classic mountain bike film documenting the local scene around Scotland and includes some remarkable sequences from the now famous Danny Macaskill.
The last 3 days showed the more normal Spain; sunny and warm. We showed off our trails in the late summer sun, with the leaves just starting to turn on the trees. Mark and Sanny shot 1500 pictures and the article should be in the magazine at the end of October. You can see some of their blogs on www.singletrackworld.com. “Reset Mark” and Rowan shot some fantastic scenes and I was blown away by how fast and smooth Rowan was on trails he’d only seen for a few seconds. FIND will be showing in cinema’s around the country before being released on DVD and I heartily recommend it.
