Are you looking to ride some fantastic mountain bike trails in the Pyrenees, with around 70% of the climbing taken care of with our unlimited shuttles? Look no further! Our Ainsa Enduro mountain bike holiday is the perfect way to escape your wet, muddy or snowy trails and enjoy a fantastic mountain bike holiday, riding the foothills of the Pyrenees where the winters are crisp and dry. Using our vans for uplifts we will ride some of the best trails in and around Zona Zero (Ainsa), made famous by the Enduro World Series in 2016 and 2018.
The mountain biking in Ainsa offers and incredible variety of rocky, but flowing, trails. This is an ancient trail system, built to support transport between old villages, many of which have now been abandoned. One highlight is the famous grey earth ridges which offer some really unique mountain biking. We also take one day to explore into Guara, one of the least populated areas in Europe. Despite its proximity to Ainsa few riders experience this biking paradise which offers amazing rocky slabs and long, fast, flowing trails.
The trails in Ainsa suit good intermediate to expert riders with good fitness.
A capable trail bike with 140mm of travel or more is the minimum. The guides will be riding 150mm/160mm Enduro bikes. eMTB’s are also a lot of fun on this trip.
Our transfer will leave the hotel around 9am, getting you to the airport for 12:00. Please book a flight that leaves after 13:30, or stay on to enjoy Barcelona for a few days.
We will stay in the center of Ainsa, as always in locally-owned accommodation with great bike storage facilities. The hotel has a games room, washing facilities, Wifi, bar and restaurant. The breakfast is legendary too!

Ainsa is home to Zona Zero, a natural trail center, sitting in the southern foothills of the Pyrenees, and is regularly touted as one of the best areas in Spain for mountain biking. The climate is very dry with over 300 sunny days a year. Typically we would expect to start the day with a jacket and by 10:00am be riding in short sleeves. The mountain biking in Zona Zero is fantastic with long, flowing singletrack descents with plenty of variety.
BasqueMTB have been involved with Zona Zero since it´s start and are official guides for the area. We use our vans to link up the best trails, and usually some local secrets, letting you see the best of the area during your weeks holiday.
It is essential that you organise your own insurance to cover yourselves and your personal belongings. This should specifically cover mountain biking. We need you to pass us a copy of the insurance for all members of your group. No insurance means no ride.
